All in MI: Orange Cap, Purple Cap, MVP, Emerging Player, WPL TROPHY

Awards, rewards, and obviously, the big one, everything came home on Saturday. March 15, 2025, mark the date in Gold. In Blue and Gold. It’s going down in history as one of our finest. Let’s break down the accolades:

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Harmanpreet Kaur – A superb captain’s knock of 66, leading the way with the bat, and then leading by example on the field with aggressive bowling changes to defend 149

ORANGE CAP: Nat Sciver-Brunt – With 523 runs in ten matches at an average of 65.38 and a strike-rate of 152.48, she was a whopping 151 runs ahead of second spot

PURPLE CAP: Amelia Kerr – 18 wickets in 10 games, she kept the cap-exchanging on with Hayley Matthews, who finished with 18 wickets as well. But Melie, thanks to a better economy rate, bagged the cap.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: Nat Sciver-Brunt – Why’s that even a surprise? Top of the run-scorers’ chart, fourth on the wicket-takers’. #QUEEN

EMERGING PLAYER: Amamjot Kaur – Cameos, bowling the tough overs, fielding in the hotspots. She has announced herself to the world, and that game she won against RCB will go down as a Paltan favourite!

THE WPL TROPHY: Yeah, IT’S COMING HOME. IT’S COMING TO MUMBAI!!
