Clash of the Titans – RCB vs MI

MI will be facing RCB at a crucial stage of the tournament with the race to the finish line getting tighter with every match. The second leg of IPL has been full of surprises and has been an interesting prospect for viewers. The teams have regrouped and have put in some incredible performances to upset the top teams.

Coming back to the two teams, match no. 41 will be important, as MI need 3 wins out of 4 matches while RCB need 5 out of their remaining five games. The pressure will be on both teams to perform and get the required wins, but it will be easier said than done. The team which can rise above this pressure and expectation will make it to the playoffs while the other will fall out of the race.

Apart from the battle for the playoff spot, there will be another encounter, brewing between our bowlers and the RCB batsmen. There will also be individual battles between the players from the two teams. Virat Kohli has the most T20 (1166) runs by an Indian in 2016, while Jasprit Bumrah has the most T20 (44) wickets by an Indian in 2016. MI fans will be weary of AB de Villiers return to form after his knock of 64 from 35 balls. The good news would be that we have an in-form Mitchell McClenaghan who has been troubling batsmen with his pace, bounce and accuracy. When these two come face to face it will be an interesting clash to watch. Shane Watson who gives RCB much-needed stability in the middle order will face the Kiwi pacer Tim Southee in the death overs. The Aussie will try to whack him out of the ground while Southee will look to bowl his toe-crushing yorkers mixed with slower deliveries to keep him at bay.

We would like to repeat the performance from our previous encounter when we beat them by 6 wickets, at the Wankhede stadium. Keeping the past in the past, this match will be an absolute cracker, between these two champion teams. The stakes are high and both teams will be looking to go for the kill.
