Hitman celebrates a memorable birthday with his biggest fans
Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma turned 32 today and to mark the occasion, a few lucky fans from the Hitman’s fan clubs across social media got an opportunity to meet their hero. Akansha Mitra and Diya Valeja - admins of @rohika.world, Sahil Patil, owner of @rohit.sharma.45fc and Akriti Joshi, creator of @bleed.bluee were the fans who manage Rohit’s fan clubs on Instagram. Dhara Desai who is the admin of a Twitter account named @imRO45_fc and Varunaj Nannaware who had previously planted 31 trees on Rohit’s last birthday and also writes poems were a part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
These Rohitians got a chance to cut a cake with the Hitman himself. These fans were from different states and were welcomed to the team hotel in Mumbai. They have been connected through their common adulation for their idol for quite some time. Hitman opened up to all these fans and had a heart touching conversation with all of them. Coincidentally one of the admins, Akansha, too celebrates her birthday with her superhero.
The fans presented gifts to the birthday boy, which included a mug, a photo frame and a special gift all the way from Cuttack. Our skipper also had something to give his fans. Rohit handed them shoes and MI goodie bags before gathering together in celebration to cut the cake.
A beautiful cake with ‘RO 45’ was made for the birthday boy. They were not done yet though, after all, no get-together is ever complete without pictures. Before saying goodbye, Rohit clicked pictures with every one of them. They also got their selfies with the skipper and can now cherish these moments for years to come.
On the event, Rohit said: "Something different today, we thought we could spend some time with the real fans. I won't like to say 'fans' actually, my friends I would like to say. Their love is unconditional. So, whatever I say will not do justice to what they do for me. I would just like to thank them for their continued support and their love in everything".
