MI Junior: Shivratna, Shivraj, Rudra and others shine for their team

Shivratna Suryawanshi, Shivraj Suryawanshi, Rudra Bhujbal and others produced match-winning performances for their respective teams in the pune leg of the MI Junior Inter School Cricket tournament on Thursday.

Brothers Shivratna and Shivraj Suryawanshi (108 and 93 respectively) led Sinhgad City School, Kondhwa to a commanding 165-run win against Vibgyor High School,Balewadi in a Boy's U-14 match.

Chasing 259, Vibgyor were bowled out for 93, with Tanay Khinwasara taking 3 for 24.

In a Boy's U-16 match,  Rudra Bhujbal (85*) starred in Blue Ridge Public School’s 135-run victory over Aaryan World School, Bhilarewadi, Katraj.

Rudra’s unbeaten knock led Blue Ridge to a respectable total of 185. Aaryan World School’s run-chase never got underway and were bowled out for 50.

In another match of the same category, MVM’s Panditrao Agashe School, Prabhat Road won by walkover against Aaryans World School, Warje.

Meanwhile, Ansh Tilloo's all-round show (47 and 3-43) along with Neel Takale's fine fifty (76*) led The Kalyani School, Hadapsar Manjari to an impressive 159 run-win over Jai Hind High School, Pimpri in a Boy's U-14 match.

Chasing a total of 286 runs, Jai Hind High School, Pimpri were bowled out for 126 runs with Sameeran Prasad (3-17) and Ansh Tilloo claiming three-wicket each.

In another Boy's U-14 match, Dr. G.G.Shah English Medium High School, Kasbapeth won by walkover against MVM’s Panditrao Agashe School, Prabhat Road. Another match of the same category saw The Orchid School, Baner won by walkover against VIDYASHILP PUBLIC SCHOOL, KONDHWA BUDRUK.
