This team has been special. The Class of 2025 has given us so many memories to cheer: from the unearthing of a talent in Kamalini G, to Amanjot Kaur announcing herself to the world and giving us that epic win against RCB, to Nat Sciver-Brunt turning into a run-machine, churning out clutch knock after clutch knock, to Hayley Matthews and Amelia Kerr spinning around webs with the ball, to Shabnim Ismail cranking up the pace on the speed gun and bowling gold dot balls even in the toughest of situations, to finally Captain Harmanpreet Kaur churning out the knock of the season in the Final, soaking up the pressure and counter-punching back in style.
MI Head Coach, Charlotte Edwards, summed the season up beautifully. “I am just delighted for them all because they’ve worked so hard. They’ve played four games in six days which everyone needs to remember as well. To put that kind of performance under pressure, I am really, really happy for the group,” she said.
“It’s been fantastic to see how the players have backed those performances up and to come out here on the big stage and still give that energy to that performance today, I am truly proud.”
This is MI team. This is MI city. This is MI pride. We are Mumbai Indians.
