Pollard to captain MI Cape Town, Pooran to captain MI Emirates
Here’s some news from the MI #OneFamily, as our sister franchises get set to take the field. With the second seasons of the ILT20 and the SA20 right around the corner, let’s delve into the captaincy announcement.
Kieron Pollard will be the captain for MI Cape Town in the second season of the SA20.
Rashid Khan is unavailable currently, as he continues his recovery from injury. MI CT wish Rashid a quick recovery and look to have him back on the playing field soon.
Nicholas Pooran will take over captain duties at MI Emirates ahead of the new season of ILT20. Fresh from captaining MI New York in the MLC Final and playing the knock of his life – a 137-run masterclass – Nicky P is all set to carry on the good work he did in the desert in the previous edition, this time hopefully taking us a step further.
MI Cape Town’s campaign in SA20 2024 is all set to kick off on January 11 against Durban’s Super Giants at the Kingsmead Oval in Durban, while MI Emirates begin their ILT20 2024 journey against the Dubai Capitals at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on January 20.
Come on Paltan, you know the drill. Let’s form our Blue and Gold army shall we? Let’s shout loud enough for our voices and good wishes to go across the ocean!
