SRH vs MI – Match Preview

Mumbai Indians are all set to take the Sunrisers Hyderabad head on this 18th April at SRH’s home ground, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. MI will look forward to bouncing back in the game against SRH as mentioned by Mitchell McClenaghan recently in a press conference. SRH who have been plagued by injuries and poor form too will be looking to break free from the shackles of losses.

Mumbai has won only one of the three matches they played so far and a win is crucial at this juncture for the side to put its campaign back on track. Mumbai will look up to Rohit Sharma, who played a captain’s knock with an unbeaten 84 against KKR, for inspiration.

SRH have been left to deal with the injuries to its crucial players, including Yuvraj Singh, Kane Williamson and Ashish Nehra. The poor run of form for Shikhar Dhawan is not helping their cause. However, Eoin Morgan’s 43-ball 51-run innings against KKR came in as a big relief for the hosts. A lot will be riding on the shoulders of Captain David Warner, Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Morgan and the Indian talent in the likes of Deepak Hooda and Ojha who are expected to put a competitive total on the board.

The pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has been known to provide even bounce & carry in the past, aiding stroke making. Both sides boast firepower that can utilise these conditions.

In tomorrow’s game one thing is certain; that the two teams will not back down that easily, not with the firepower they possess. For the crucial points needed to advance, high-octane action between the two is assured!
