Welcome India’s newest T20I skipper, Aapla Surya Dada

The honour rarely gets any bigger. Skipper SKY has the top job in Indian cricket.

Suryakumar Yadav is all set to become India’s 13th T20I captain when he leads the team out against Australia in Vizag on November 23. The leadership role isn’t something new for SKY, having led Mumbai previously in the domestic circuit, and even for the Mumbai Indians in this year’s IPL (remember the victory in the ESA game against KKR?).

Two of MI’s fellow stars – Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma – too have been included in the squad for the five-match series, and as the team transitions into a new era, would be very keen on nailing their spots and forming the core of the Indian batting lineup for years to come.

Paltan, yes we are still reeling under the disappointment of the World Cup Final. But this could just be the tonic we need to move on. Aapla Surya Dada has consistently smashed record after record in the last two years in T20Is, and as India take on the Aussies, trust him to serve our first dish of revenge.
