WPL weekly star tracker (Sep 16): From Sajana’s Onam celebrations to Issy’s solid comeback

All roads lead to the UAE, and all moves lead to building up for the mega Women’s T20 World Cup. With just a couple of weeks remaining, it’s only a matter of days before teams start landing in the desert. So for now, we have some celebrations, some festivities, some travel, and of course, some cricket.

Everything as Right as Wong in a timely return to cricket

After a tough few months that included her losing out on her England spot, to getting injured and then earning her spot back through solid domestic performances, our girl is back, and how! **Drumroll ** Aapli Mumbai-Kerr joins the WC squad

Harmanpret Kaur, Sajana Sajeevan, Pooja Vastrakar, Yastika Bhatia Chloe Tryon, Hayley Matthews, Nat Sciver-Brunt, and it’s time to add Amelia Kerr to the list of Mumbai Indians players at the World Cup. She’s been picked in New Zealand’s squad, and would be itching to continue her purple patch for the White Ferns.

Onam, golfing, and fun in general

The festivities are on in full swing in Kerala, and the Sajana household is no different as the spirit of Onam lights up her Gram. Fatima Jaffer, meanwhile, is on a vacation by the beautiful mountains, and Nat Sciver-Brunt’s having some fun golfing. It’s the unwind before the action heats up in the already steaming desert of the Middle-East!
