RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. 1) Eligibility:
    • The contest is open to participants aged 16 years and above.
    • Each participant must be part of only one of the registered teams.

  2. 2) Entry & Participation:
    • Entry is free of cost, and no fees shall be charged for participation.
    • Teams must be registered before the deadline specified by the Organizer.

  3. 3) Game Format & Rules:
    • Matches will follow the format and rules prescribed by the Organizer.
    • A team comprises 8 players a side (+ 2 substitute). The 8 participating players in the specific match must be intimated to the organizer in advance before the toss. Once the final squad has been registered, no changes will be allowed*. (*baring grievous/serious injury). The nominated 8 players have to complete the entire match, if there is an injury to any player while playing a substitute player from the 2 substitutes can be utilized for fielding only, they cannot bat or bowl – in case of multiple injuries the team has to play with whatever quorum best available with them
    • A match consists of 5 overs per side. The team has to utilize 5 different bowlers; no bowler can bowl more than 1 over per match.
    • A team will get a maximum of 15 minutes to bowl the five overs in an innings
    • Balls must be bowled under arm from below the waist and from within the box at the bowler's end. Rapid balls call will be taken by umpire – 1st Rapid ball will be dead ball + warning and 2nd rapid ball will be declared a No Ball.
    • A Bowler is allowed to bowl from within the box created at bowler's end.
    • Once a bowler starts the over, then same bowler must complete the over. The umpire's decision is final with regards to the bowling action of a bowler.
    • If the bowler's foot touches/cut front line of the box, the same will not be declared a NO BALL and a full overstepping will be considered a NO-Ball. The resulting delivery will not be a free hit.
    • Full toss above the waist will also be treated as a NO BALL assuming the batsmen has not moved from his position when the ball has been bowled.
    • If the ball bounces twice before reaching the batting crease, it will be declared as a DEAD BALL. 2nd DEAD BALL of the over will be declared a NO BALL
    • A maximum of 4 fielders can be placed behind the bowler. If this is not the case, it will be termed as a NO BALL. There is no limit on the number of fielders to be placed ahead of the bowler's crease.
    • A maximum of only 3 fielders are allowed on the boundary line.
    • A WIDE or a NO BALL fetches 1 run. A WIDE or a NO BALL must be re bowled even if a wicket falls due to a stumping or a run out, any run taken by running will be added.
    • If the ball hits the front net directly it will be counted as a six.
    • If the ball hits the roof of the box it is considered not out but if a catch is converted at such an instance/ if the player catches the ball directly after the ball has struck the roof net then it will be considered out.
    • If the ball hits the roof of the box and goes for a six it will be counted as a six
    • If the ball gets stuck on the roof of the net it will be a dead ball and the bowler will have to re-bowl the ball.
    • if the ball hits the side netting and goes for a six it will be counted as a four
    • If the ball hits the side netting and a catch is taken it won't be counted out
    • Standard Byes and Leg Byes rules apply
    • Overthrow runs will be given for running between the wickets and boundaries
    • If the ball hits the stand of the stumps it will be considered as out
    • If the ball goes outside the turf without touching the fielder, 1 run will be declared. If the ball goes outside the turf off the fielder, 2 runs will be declared
    • No last player batting is permitted
    • 1 Wicket keeper is compulsory but can be changed anytime during the game
    • LBW is NOT OUT
    • Any catch taken off the net is NOT OUT apart from the Roof Net.
    • In case of a tie in all matches (including the finals) there will be a super over played between the teams. The super over will be a normal one over. In case a batting team loses two wickets, then the super over ends. In case the scores are tied at the end of the super over then one more super over will be played till one final winner is decided
    • Any Other rules as applicable will be intimated on the tournament dates by the organizing Committee.
    • Umpires / Organizers decision is final in case of any disputes. “Only team captain can raise any points with the umpires”. The organizers have the right to call off a match, any foul play or misbehavior by player can lead to disqualification of player, the organizers hold the rights to disqualify players.

  4. 4) General:
    • Timings for the matches need to be strictly adhered to. The teams will have to start playing with lesser players if the others in the team have not turned up else a walkover will be given. Teams are requested to report at least 60 minutes before their scheduled matches. All are requested to adhere to the timings so that all matches can be smoothly organized causing minimum delays & inconvenience to other teams
    • The match schedules and timings will be sent to team captain
    • Fibers Cricket bats are not allowed.
    • A player cannot register his name for more than 1 team, if any teams found with players registered for more than 1 team, the player will be disqualified from all teams
    • Although adequate safety precautions have been taken and First Aid facilities will be available to treat any injuries sustained while playing, Organizers will not be held responsible and liable for the same and the players will be playing at their own risk.
    • Organizers will not be responsible / liable for any personal/material loss or theft during the tournament.
    • All participants are requested to carry their official Aadhar Cards or have the Digilocker app on their phones with Aadhar cards loaded on the app for on ground verification, without which he/she will not be allowed to participate. A photo of the Aadhar card will not be allowed.
    • If any team walks out of the ground for whatsoever reasons without the umpire's or organizers consent, it will be deemed that the team has forfeited the game and win awarded to opposition side
    • Players must adhere to the principles of sportsmanship and fair play.
    • Any misconduct, including but not limited to abusive language, physical aggression, or match-fixing, may result in disqualification.
    • In matter of doubts/issues/queries not covered by the tournament rules, the decision of the Organizers will be final and binding upon all concerned. JFSC reserves the rights to all decisions pertaining to any issues/concerns raised during and after the tournament
    • The tournament will be played in a last man standing knockout format – ALL MATCHES WILL BE KNOCKOUT, with winners of each Centre playing on the finals day to be declared the ULTIMATE CHAMPION – A Total of 31 matches to be played. {32 teams – 16 matches | 16 teams – 8 matches |8 teams – 4 matches|4 teams – 2 matches|2 teams – 1 match | adding up to 31 matches between 32 teams}

  5. 5) Discipline:
    • Organizers hold the right to issue Yellow cards and Red cards to participants for any kind of misconduct with any officials/organizers on the ground, the scorers and umpires. In the event of the players found guilty of using offensive language on field or getting physical, manhandling or showing dissent towards the umpires or any organizing committee staff will result in action being taken against the player in the form of Yellow card or Red card being issues to the player resulting in suspension of the player from the match or being banned from the tournament

  6. 6) Liability Disclaimer:
    • All participants acknowledge that cricket is a physical sport and involves the risk of injury. Participation in this contest is voluntary, and in case of minors, with consent of their natural/legal guardians and entirely at the participant's own risk.
    • The Organizer, its affiliates, sponsors, partners, employees, volunteers, and any associated entities shall not be liable for any injuries (including but not limited to minor injuries, serious injuries, or fatal accidents), health issues, damages, losses, or claims arising out of participation in the contest.
    • The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule the contest in case of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., bad weather, natural disasters, or government restrictions) and shall not be held liable for any losses resulting from such changes.
    • By participating, players agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer and its affiliates from any legal claims, liabilities, costs, or damages that may arise due to their participation in the contest.
    • . By entering the contest, all participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this liability disclaimer and will not hold the Organizer or any associated entities responsible for any untoward incidents.

  7. 7) Prize & Recognition:
    • The winning team will receive a trophy; no monetary rewards or gifts will be provided.
    • The Organizer reserves the right to modify or substitute the prize if necessary.

  8. 8) Event Cancellation & Changes:
    • The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, venue issues, or safety concerns.

  9. 9) Photography & Media Rights:
    • The Organizer may capture photos/videos of the event and participants for promotional purposes.
    • By participating, players grant the Organizer the right to use such media without any compensation.

*ORGANIZERS HOLD THE FINAL SAY/CALL IN MATTERS OR ANY DISPUTES OR DISCREPANCIES.
