Aapla Dada Suryakumar Yadav, the 2023 ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year!
Two nominations, two wins, two trailblazing years, but one iconic player - Aapla Dada Surya. Suryakumar Yadav set the T20 World ablaze in 2022, and he replicated the same intent, the same pyrotechnics, the same hunger for success as a player (and captain) and the same Supla Shots in 2023.
India’s very own Mr. 360 is now the third Indian player after MS Dhoni (ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year in 2008 and 2009) and Virat Kohli (ICC Cricketer of the Year and ODI Cricketer of the Year in 2017 and 2018) to win ICC awards in successive years.
Here is a round-up of SKY’s calendar year 2023 in T20Is.
