Akash Ambani: This is the best we've played in 13 years
Mumbai Indians claimed their fifth IPL title in UAE as they defeated Delhi Capitals in Dubai on November 10.
The team ended up topping the points table with most wins and even dominated in the playoffs. This was also the first time MI successfully defended their title after having won the previous edition in 2019.
Akash Ambani, owner of Mumbai Indians, was quite exhilarated with his team's success in Dream11 IPL 2020. He spoke to TOI and shared his thoughts on MI's strong show in the tournament, breaking the odds and also reacted to Michael Vaughan's tweet.
I reckon the @mipaltan would Win the T20 World Cup .... #Justsaying #IPL2020final

"That was the best comment I saw the whole day,"
That odd narrative has been set right in 2020
"This was an incredible tournament, held against all odds. A special mention to the BCCI and Hon Secretary Jay Shah for pulling this off."
"That 'odd' narrative was going around for a long time. That's been set right in 2020. We had set out on this task of doing it in back-to-back years. To win it in an even year is such an added thrill."
This season was incredible in terms of the quality of cricket played
"Our record in terms of wins and losses are the same as last year. But in terms of the quality of cricket played, this season was incredible. From what our plan for the season was and what we managed to execute on the field, I'd say we were in the 95 to 98% range. This is the best we've played in 13 years."
