BCCI announces Indian squad for remaining Tests against England

The BCCI on Wednesday announced the Indian squad for the remaining two Test matches against England. Both games will be held at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad as the series is leveled at 1-1.

Umesh Yadav to join team, Rahul Chahar on standby

Alongside the 17-man squad, the All-India Senior Selection Committee also picked five net bowlers namely Ankit Rajpoot, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Warrier, Krishnappa Gowtham, and Saurabh Kumar. KS Bharat and Rahul Chahar will be on standby.

Umesh Yadav is also expected to join the squad after a fitness assessment. Shardul Thakur will then be released to take part in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Others who have been released for the same include Abhimanyu Easwaran, Shahbaz Nadeem, and Priyank Panchal.
