Chris Lynn arrives in UAE
Explosive batsman Chris Lynn is the latest addition to the Mumbai Indians squad at Abu Dhabi in UAE. The Australian opener is currently undergoing his quarantine period in the team hotel before he joins his other teammates.
The swashbuckling batsman was the first draw in last year's IPL auction where he was grabbed by Mumbai Indians for INR 2 CR. Lynn is popular for his power-hitting skills, especially in the T20 format.
Super excited to join the lads
Lynn put out a message for all the fans who have been waiting to see him in action. He praised his teammates who had been training hard despite the intense heat in UAE and looked forward to resuming training after quarantine.
"I have just touched down in Abu Dhabi. I’m just going through my quarantine period but once that’s done, I’m super excited to be joining the lads. I know they have been working extremely hard in the heat here in the UAE. For all you Mumbai Indians fans, I know you can’t make it to the ground, but I have no doubt we will feel your energy all around the world for what promises to be a successful campaign for the Mumbai Indians."

Remarkable record in IPL
The 30-year old has scored ten half-centuries in IPL, all of them coming in the last three editions. He has breached the 400-run mark in the previous two seasons and was also the second highest run-scorer for KKR in 2018 and 2019.
His addition to the Mumbai Indians squad adds more firepower to the top order which already consists of Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav. The world has witnessed his sensational batting numerous times and would be raring to watch him go bonkers against bowling attacks in IPL.
Also a game-changer on the field, Lynn will have fond memories of playing the IPL in UAE. He had taken a fantastic catch near the boundary line to dismiss AB de Villiers in the final over back in the 2014 edition.
His performance in the last three IPL seasons:
2019 - Runs: 405, Average: 31.15, SR: 139.65
2018 - Runs: 491, Average: 32.73, SR: 130.23
2017 - Runs: 295, Average: 49.16, SR: 180.98
