I love this team: Rohit Sharma thanks fans for the continued support

The Tata IPL 2022 has not been an easy ride for us. We have lost our first eight games of the season - the first time it has happened in our history.

Skipper Rohit Sharma fronted up to the difficult season and assured us that his dedication to the team will not waver.

“We haven’t put our best foot forward in this tournament but that happens,many sporting giants have gone through this phase but I love this team and its environment,” Ro said on social media.

He also thanked the fans and the management for their continued support through tough times.

“Also want to appreciate our well wishers who’ve shown faith and undying loyalty to this team so far,” he added.

The team management - including Mrs. Nita Ambani and Akash Ambani and director of cricket operations Zaheer Khan and icon Sachin Tendulkar - have provided words of encouragement for us.

Our biggest support system - our Paltan - has stood by us all through, cheering us on at games in their loudest voices and making our return to Wankhede last night a bit more special.

The Paltan have also been vocal with their undulating backing on social media, which has kept us going and given us renewed energy this season.

Paltan, we know the season has not gone the way we wanted it to.

As skipper Ro said, many sporting giants have gone through these phases and the same is happening to us.

Rest assured, we will bounce back stronger, as we are always known to do. Tough times don’t last but tough people do. Let’s push harder in the other games!
