The International Cricket Council awards for the best cricketers across formats are announced and we must say, our MI representatives have been the talk of the town for their incredible performances in 2024.

To begin with, आपली Amelia Kerr won the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year in addition to ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year, becoming the first-ever female player from New Zealand to claim the former. 🤩

The Women’s T20 World Cup-winning campaign was by far the highlight of Mumbai-𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗥’s stellar 2024, where she was named the Player of the tournament for her all-round brilliance, accumulating 135 runs and taking 15 wickets.

Moreover, her haul of 15 wickets is the highest in a single edition of the competition since its inception in 2009! 🔥

Talking about her exploits in ODIs, the 24-year-old featured in nine matches for the White Ferns, amassing 264 runs at an average of 33 while bagging 15 wickets! Talk about all-round consistency… 💪

In the men’s category, आमच्या Jasprit Bumrah won the ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year and the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year. Well, WAS THERE ANY DOUBT ABOUT IT?!

Needless to say, our 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐌 had a year as perfect as his searing yorkers. The T20 World Cup triumph with 🇮🇳, alongside his fellow मित्रगण Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and skipper 𝙍𝙊, shone as the pinnacle of his fantastic 2024.

Just like Amelia Kerr, he was declared the Player of the Tournament for tormenting every opponent that came his way, having 15 wickets at a staggering average of 8.26 to show for it! 😎

However, one format where Jassi bhai, quite literally, DESTROYED opposition batting units, was Test cricket! A mind-boggling 71 wickets at a stunning average of 14.92 simply speaks for itself.

The most important series of the year, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, might not have gone Team India’s way. Nonetheless, Jasprit Bumrah stole the limelight with his individual artistry, taking 32 wickets in the five-match series, the joint-most by any player in the history alongside our former 🌟 Harbhajan Singh.
