Mumbai is painted GREEN, CAM GREEN! A century. A victory. A qualification?

By Mumbai Indians

Right then, there are times when a victory isn't enough to guarentee something. Tonight is one such night. As Mumbai turns Green for the next few hours, let's keep one eye on what happens in Bengaluru, where we need the result to go in our favour to march into the playoffs. But that's four hours away. Until then, let's bask in, let's celebrate, and let's not stay calm!

Here is your Player of the Match with a few words... Guess who? ;): "It was a great partnership with Rohit. Having his leadership at the other end helped. The whole MI set-up has been awesome. The intent at the top, it helps when you have guys like Rohit, Ishan and SKY. When we had 20 to get, I said SKY to finish it. Then we had a couple of runs, we just trickled over the line."

Rohit Sharma: "We came with that mindset, we wanted to win and not worry about what we can't control. I haven't spoken to anyone. We've got ourselves to blame if we don't qualify. Last year, we did a big favour for RCB, I hope we get the desired result."

JOB DONE

The final run that completed a century! Cameron Green was the show-stopper at the Wankhede Stadium. Eight fours and Eight sixes along his first T20 hundred! We still can't believe it. Our hearts are racing with joy.

Here's a breakdown of Cam's innings:-

30 in 10 balls

50 in 20 balls

100 in 47 balls

What does this victory mean? MI move fourth (temporarily) on the IPL points table with 16 points from 14 points.

Maanla Re Bhaau, Rohit!

Change of guard: Rohit - out, SKY - in

The Hitman departs after amassing 56 runs in 37 balls, paving the way for Aapla Dada Surya. And in true style, SKY got off the mark with a boundary inside out over cover.

A RO-manchak double milestone

At 9.4 overs, Hitman crushed down the walls of 11,000 T20 runs with a boundary straight off Umran Malik. Doing so, he also earned a badge of 5,000 runs for Mumbai Indians.

How did he celebrate? Fifty in 11.2 overs.

100 and 50 in the same window! What a sight

9.2 overs: 100 and a Cam Green fifty! And we are not stopping here. With the Blue and Gold army behind us, the MI boys are on a roll.

HULK mode?

Powerplay charcha

Cameron has kept the Green signal ON all the way, as his 10-ball 30 powers MI to 60/1. Skipper Rohit is keeping his cool with a run-a-ball 15.

SRH, meanwhile, are scratching their heads having seen us hit the accelerator as they did in the first innings.

Fasten your seatbelts as the MI Boys are in 'Fast N Furious' mode.

The first speed-breaker to our run chase

Ishan Kishan tried to balloon a Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivery, but it ended up skying up for Harry Brooks to take a determined diving catch.

Intermission

The first innings was entertaining as it could be. Vivrant's determined half-ton on IPL debut, Akash Madhwal's electric bowling, the ground-breaking crowd support. The first half of this MIvSRH clash wasn't short of a TV drama.

What do we have here? A 201-run target.

The cast? Mumbai Indians' batters

The show-stopper? SKY? Hitman? (Tell us in the comments)

Paltan, can we chase this? *voice slowly rises* YES.

Stay tuned for the second innings.

Mann ki baat 🤪

M4dhwal Ji, maan gaye!

Four overs, four wickets, two yorkers on his final two deliveries. Akash Madhwal has brought a sweet breeze of comfort on a scorching afternoon at the Wankhede Stadium. His victims: Vivrant, Mayank, Klaasen.

Paltan ki awaaz

Akash's next wicket didn't take 2 long

Wicket by short ball version 2. Akash Madhwal has made the difference with the ball yet again as he put the brakes on Mayank Agarwal's innings. An inside edge straight to Ishan Kishan and the smiles are back on the MI fans in the Wankhede.

And...... WICKET NO.1

Debutant Vivrant Sharma troubled the MI bowlers today, but his run was brought to a halt by Akash Madhwal. A short ball delivery that was sliced towards subsitute fielder Ramandeep Singh at deep mid.

Powerplay charcha!

We have bowled six overs, with हैदराबाद rallying their way to 53/0. Vivrant Sharma has shown a glimpse of his batting potential with 27 runs in 24 balls.

Meanwhile, Cam Green's opening over was tight - leaking just two runs.
