SRH vs MI: Nailing the Hyderabad challenge - As it happened
Keep flooding the comments with your support! Goodnight and see you soon, Paltan.
You asked it, we did it. Three games. Three wins. But it doesn't stop here! We play Punjab Kings on Saturday, April 22. It's time to rest, re-group, re-draw strategies, spend some time with the Fa-MI-ly and make sure the momentum keeps going all the way to a possible sixth title!
Cameron Green (64, 1 wicket), Ishan Kishan (38), Tilak Varma (37), Tim David (16, 4 catches) and Riley Meredith (2/33) anchored a spectacular Blue and Gold win in Hyderabad. And not to forget, a fairytale finish by Tendulkar Jr.
Senior stars have their say on Arjun!
Arjun Tendulkar today grew in stature. Justified captain's trust by bowling tight final over, held his nerves, took his first IPL wicket. Congrats Paaji, here's wishing a long successful career for Arjun. @sachin_rt #Arjun

You aren't dreaming!
Three consecutive victory for Mumbai Indians without our main bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Jofra Archer and Jhye Richardson. Am I dreaming or what 😭

A Tendulkar winning matches 2.0
The 90s kids have grown up watching Sachin Tendulkar be the executioner for teams to win games. Today, the same generation - and new - bore witness to his son Arjun keeping the tradition alive albeit with the ball.
Defending 20 runs, the young player bowled 0, 1W (run-out), 1w, 2, 1lb before dismissing Bhuvneshwar Kumar as his maiden IPL victim.

David and his 'hand of God'
While Aiden Markram was a flying without wings to take catches in the first innings, Tim David has the ball attracted to his hands without any magic spell. Let us recap his catches so far:
Abhishek Sharma (9.1 overs)
Heincrich Klaasen (13.6 overs)
Mayank Agarwal (14.5 overs)
Marco Jansen (16.4 overs)
This performance saw him equal Sachin Tendulkar's record of four catches in an IPL innings.
PC ends a Klaasen night
There is always light at the end of the tunnel, and while his final over was initially expensive, Piyush Chawla made sure to pay Heinrich Klaasen his dues. Bowling his famous wrong'un delivery, PC got Klaasen to sky the delivery to long-on where Tim David was waiting for him.
Cold as ice

The signal is still green for Cam!
After his heroics with the bat, Cameron Green made a positive introduction with the ball. After Aiden Markram hit him for a boundary off the first ball, the Aussie all-rounder returned the favour by dismissing the SRH captain for 22 runs.
Guess the names!
J se first name and B se last name starts hone wale bowlers ki kripa hai Mumbai Indians pr #SRHvMI

Two is better than one!
This time, Jason Behrendorff made Rahul Tripathi his bunny. Around off and on a length ball takes the edge of Tripathi's bat swirls towards Ishan Kishan.
Masterstroke?
1.3 - Brook smashed a cover drive boundary on Jason's full length delivery.

1.4 - Rohit Sharma went to Jason Bherendroff and told him to bowl a bouncer .
And then Brook gets cooked by the Intelligence of Captain Rohit Sharma !

First blood drawn
And.... we have the first wicket!
A short ball that takes Harry Brook by a surprise. The ball takes an edge to the fielder SKY at cover point. MI are Behrend-orff to a good start after a timely brookthrough.
BROOKthrough! 🔥

Intermission
At the half-way stage, Mumbai Indians have finished with a score of 192/5 in their allotted 20 overs. There were a few hiccups, but Cameron Green (64), Ishan Kishan (38) and Tilak Varma (37) steered the ship to a defendable score. Onto our magicians with the ball!
T Natarajan relives MI hammering!
SRH's T Natarajan may have got a wicket in the first innings, but the 18th over brought back some familiar ghosts for the bowler. In 2022, it was Tim David and tonight, Cameron Green.
18th over in 2022: 1w, 6, 1w, 0, 6, 6, 6, W
18th over in 2023: 1, 4, 4, 4, 6, 1
Green was the happy customer this time around, as he reached his maiden IPL fifty at the cost of Natarajan's over. Power hitting this!
Paltan ki awaaz!
Tilak Varma just continues to grow in stature with every game and every situation.

India have a massive talent in their hands 🇮🇳
Remember the name N Tilak Verma…how good is this 20 yr old boy doing especially his game awareness and temperament in this shortest format of the game is the most impressive quality…Mark my words he has a bright future ahead #tilakvarma #SRHvMI #TATAIPL2023 #CricketTwitter pic.twitter.com/JR13ecmDX5

Tilak is HOME
After Suryakumar Yadav's early dismissal, Hyderabad welcomed one of its own - Tilak Varma to the pitch. Knowing the venue very well, Tilak quickly got to business with two boundaries and two sixes in the first 12 balls. Playing fire with fire!
Ishan completes the 4K challenge!
Our 'Pocket Dynamo' joined the milestone party hosted by Rohit Sharma, bringing his own panache. The left-hander broke the 4000-run barrier in T20 cricket, while operating at strike rate of 126. He would depart for 38 as his shot was caught by Aiden Markram (again).
Powerplay charcha!
We hopped, skipped and jumped past the 50-run mark in the powerplay, thanks to our 'milestone man' Rohit Sharma. Now, onto the Green-Kishan partnership...
Rohit Sharma has given Mumbai Indians a good start. Now Ishan Kishan and Cameron Green should build on that. #SRHvsMI #IPL2023

However....
Having struck two boundaries off T Natarajan in the fifth over, Hitman fancied flicking the delivery into the leg side. But the ball took a leading edge and went to the opposing skipper Aiden Markram at mid-off.
6000 reasons to smile feat Ro-hit Sharma!
A familiar ground, a familiar opponent, a familiar batting strategy and what else is familiar? Rohit, the milestone man!
In his 227th inning, Hitman became the fourth IPL batter - after Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner - to breeze past the 6000-run mark in IPL history.
A 'LOVING' reception for Ro-hit
Huge reception for Rohit Sharma.
