“As always, Mumbai Indians continues to give a platform to amazing young talent”: Mrs. Nita M. Ambani

By Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2023 campaign came to an end against Gujarat Titans on May 26, but all it did was draw curtains on a season that has been one of our best in our 16-year participation in the Indian Premier League.

Rohit Sharma’s 10th season as MI captain, Piyush Chawla’s resurgence with the ball, Suryakumar Yadav’s batting in top gear and the grand exhibition of talent from the likes of Tilak Varma, Nehal Wadhera, Cameron Green, and Akash Madhwal ensured that our ambition to make the Paltan BELIEVE was always at the highest level.

Lastly, perhaps, our BIGGEST success this year was playing at home. And, the feeling couldn’t have been any more sweeter as we managed to do something we haven’t ever done before: hit 200-plus totals and chase them.

Our entire campaign showed the sheer determination and hardwork of one of the most close-knit dressing rooms, but equivalently, the Paltan has played a huge role in our MI-ssion IPL 2023.

Our owners, Mrs. Nita M. Ambani and Mr. Akash Ambani, have penned a note of humble gratitude. “A big thank you to our fans for the love and support throughout. Our paltan is the soul of Mumbai Indians! Beyond the wins and losses, MI has always been about spreading joy and cheer. And the team did that again. They put up a great show, fought hard in spite of the setbacks, and as always, gave a platform to amazing young talent like Tilak, Nehal, Madhwal, and Green! We are taking back lots of positives from this season with a promise to come back stronger next year.
