SRHvMI Preview: Mission winning roll, in the City of Biryani

By Mumbai Indians

Back-to-back wins, painting billion Blue and Gold smiles on the faces of MI Paltan at the Wankhede Stadium, and hop, skip, and jump, we are all set to take the field again. We’ve flown to Hyderabad, and we are all set to kick things along in the City of Nizaams.

Let’s give you a clear warning, the MI-SRH rivalry has been a close tug-of-war, one where we narrowly lead 10-9. What’s also very narrow is the difference between these two sides on the points table: 4 matches, 2 wins, 2 losses.

The last SRH vs MI clash may have been a defeat for us, but it was all about Tim David announcing himself to the loyal MI Paltan. 18 balls faced, 46 runs scored - including a 26-run over (1w, 6, 1w, 0, 6, 6, 6, W) against T Natarajan. A MIndboggling display which is still fresh in our minds!

Onwards and upwards we go, and we need you there with us Paltan. तुम्ही सगळे लोक आमच्या सोबत आहेत ना?

What: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians

When: Tuesday, April 18 2023

Where: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad

What to expect: Bhuvi vs Rohit, Jansen twins playing against each other, long boundaries, lots of twos, and lots of entertainment!

What you need to do: Exactly whatever you’ve been doing over the last two games. Eat the same food, sit in the same spot, wear the same colours, say the same prayers. Everything, exactly as it was.

What they said: "I relaxed and had an easy walk to the wicket, took my time for the first 6-7 balls. And then I thought if I get my eye in I can take it forward." Suryakumar Yadav on his 'relaxed' mindset when walking out to bat against KKR.
