Quinton, Surya take MI to fourth consecutive victory

11:06 PM IST - Fourth consecutive win for Mumbai Indians. Despite Rohit's early dismissal, Quinton continued to up the ante with some wonderful batting. Suryakumar Yadav's second consecutive fifty and Ishan Kishan's crucial knock turned the tables completely in MI's favour. By the time both got out, the run-chase was already under control. MI climb to the top of the points table, halfway into the competition.

10:59 PM IST - Nortje keeps it tight as MI score just three runs on the penultimate over. Stoinis has been given the mantle to defend 7 runs from the final over. Krunal hits a boundary past fine leg on the very first ball. This is followed by two singles. Krunal then pulls Stoinis for a four to finish it in style for MI as they win by five wickets.

10:51 PM IST - Rabada to bowl his final over. Ishan tries to go big over deep square leg. Shaw who was fielding there gets his fingers on the ball but couln't hold on as it goes for a six. Next ball, Ishan tries to hit another one only to find Axar taking a diving catch near cover region. Rabada ends with 2/28 as MI require 10 runs off the last couple of overs.

10:46 PM IST - This was turning out to be a good over from Anrich Nortje before a short ball was pulled by Pollard over deep mid-wicket on the penultimate delivery. Nortje then conceded a wide and a single as MI need 18 from 18.

10:38 PM IST - Hardik Pandya walks out to bat but couldn't get going as he finds an edge which goes to wicketkeeper Alex Carey. DC have got a couple of wickets in quick succession. However, Kishan eases off the pressure with a boundary on the last ball. 26 runs required off 24 balls.

10:30 PM IST - Delhi Capitals have again brought back Rabada but Suryakumar is on song. The first ball, he finds an edge past the wicketkeeper for a boundary. Surya then hit Rabada over long leg for a six to complete his second consecutive fifty in the season.

However on the final delivery, he miscues one in the air only to find Iyer at mid-off. Surya departs for 53 (32).

10:25 PM IST - Ishan Kishan also joins the party as he clears the long-on boundary off Stoinis for his first six of the innings. A wide delivery on the final ball but Ishan reaches out for it and cuts it in the gap between short third man and point for a four.

10:19 PM IST - Ashwin comes in for his last over and is welcomed by Suryakumar with a boundary towards deep extra cover. This is followed by five singles. Suryakumar continues his onslaught with consecutive boundaries off Axar in the next over. The first boundary is more a result of a misfield from Shaw at deep square leg. The next ball is sweeped towards the same area but beyond Shaw's reach. 12 runs from the over.

10:13 PM IST - DC try to exert more pressure as they bring Rabada in the eleventh over. On the second legal delivery, Surya hits the ball towards point. Ishan has reached the striker's end but Surya hasn't moved an inch. Rahane throws the ball at the wicketkeeper's end, giving Kishan enough time to return back. MI will breathe easy as a run-out is the last thing they would want at this stage. Just 3 runs from the over including a couple of wides. 

10:08 PM IST - Quinton departs. Ashwin gets the breakthrough as the MI opener finds Shaw at deep mid-wicket. Ishan Kishan walks out to bat at No.4 for MI. 

10:02 PM IST - Quinton goes after Harshal as he slams him for consecutive boundaries to reach his second fifty this season. First one was pulled past fine leg. He then came across on the second ball and hit it over short fine-leg to register his half-century. The wicketkeeper batsman has raced to 52 runs from 34 deliveries.

9:57 PM IST - Suryakumar Yadav has been in great nick lately and it is visible in his batting. He flicks one towards backward square leg for a boundary off Harshal Patel. Then in the next over, he takes on Ashwin over mid-wicket for a four. Runs keep coming for MI.

9:48 PM IST - Quinton is in no mood to play safe. After a couple of dot balls, he slams a full ball from Nortje towards deep backward square leg for a maximum. He then hooks the fifth ball for another six. It was a bouncer and found the top-edge of Quinton's bat.

9:43 PM IST - Axar comes back for his second over. Quinton hits him over mid-on for a four during the over. In the final ball of the over, Rohit Sharma holes out to Rabada at deep mid-wicket as he has to depart. Axar gets the first wicket.

9:37 PM IST - Delhi introduce spin early as Axar Patel comes to bowl the third over. MI off to a watchful start into their innings as they are 12/0 after three overs. They continue with Ravichandran Ashwin from the other end. Quinton decides it's enough and hits a full delivery over long-on for a maximum. He then hits another boundary at deep square leg as MI score 12 in the over.

9:29 PM IST - Kagiso Rabada starts off with the new ball. Rohit Sharma opens his account with a single. Quinton de Kock also gets off the mark with a single. 3 runs including a wide from the first over.

9:18 PM IST - MI struck early in the powerplay but the partnership between Dhawan and Iyer put DC on high pedestal in the match. However, the men in Blue and Gold did well to pull it back from there. Dhawan's unbeaten 69*(52) helped Delhi get to a respectable total.

9:08 PM IST - Final over of the innings. After a single and a couple of runs, Dhawan gets the length ball from Bumrah and slams it towards mid-wicket for a boundary. The right-arm pacer couldn't find the yorker in the last three balls as Delhi cross the 160-run mark. 12 runs from the over.

9:00 PM IST - Bumrah bowls a tight 18th over as he concedes just seven runs. No boundaries in the last couple of overs for Delhi. Boult comes into bowl the penultimate over and starts with four singles. Dhawan then gets the much needed boundary for his team beating deep square leg. Boult manages to finish off with a good yorker.

8:55 PM IST - Run-out! Stoinis hits the ball towards long-on. Suryakumar Yadav fumbled to gather the ball on the first attempt and Stoinis believed there was an opportunity for another run. However, Dhawan doesn't move as the batsman is well short of his crease. Chahar makes no mistake as MI get an important breakthrough in the end overs. Alex Carey walks in at No.6 for DC.

8:47 PM IST - Boult has come back for his third over. Starts off with a wide before Dhawan cuts him past point for a boundary. He then takes a single to complete his first half-century of the tournament this year. Marcus Stoinis then hits consecutive boundaries to set the tone, first one down the ground which is beyond the reach of mid-off. Second one at the gap between extra cover and mid-off. 16 runs from the over.

8:40 PM IST - Krunal strikes again as he breaks the 85-run stand in the middle. Iyer tries to go big and finds Boult at deep mid-wicket. He returns back for 42 (33). Krunal has been on a roll today. He finishes with figures of 2/26.

8:34 PM IST - Dhawan welcomes Chahar with a boundary straight down the ground before taking a single. 100 runs comes up for DC in the 14th over with both batsmen set at the crease. The leg-spinner does well to concede just four singles in the last five balls after going for a four on the first delivery.

8:31 PM IST - The partnership between Dhawan and Iyer has rescued Delhi Capitals from the early slump. MI has brought back Bumrah in a bid to break the shackles. Both batsmen take minimal risk against him as they get six runs from the over. Next up, Krunal bowls another economical over conceding just four runs. DC are 95/2 with seven overs to go.

8:20 PM IST - James Pamment (Fielding Coach): "This game is about to move. This is my third season with MI and thoroughly enjoying it. We try and prioritise a lot of stuff. Taking chances is important but at the end of the day, the team has to walk in the field with a strong attitude and display their energy. It's a great opportunity to work with these guys."

8:16 PM IST - Rahul Chahar comes in to bowl his first over. Both Dhawan and Iyer bat cautiously against the leg-spinner as they score six runs off him. 

8:09 PM IST - Krunal returns for his second over and concedes just five runs. In the next over, Kieron Pollard hurls a short one and Dhawan hits it past Rahul Chahar at point for a boundary. 10 runs from the over as the strategic time-out has been taken after eight overs.

8:00 PM IST - Pattinson comes back for his second over. Dhawan plays it over third man for a boundary. Then it's Shreyas Iyer who takes over as he hits a couple of fours. First one gently played towards the square-leg boundary followed by a cover drive. 14 runs from the over as DC are 46/2 at the end of powerplay.

7:54 PM IST - Krunal Pandya comes into bowl during powerplay overs and he strikes on the second ball. Rahane has been adjudged LBW as Delhi Capitals lose their second wicket.

Dhawan doesn't drop the ante as he hits one over deep mid-wicket for the first maximum of the innings.

7:50 PM IST - Jasprit Bumrah has been introduced and he starts with five consecutive dot balls. The fifth ball was steered towards covers but Ishan's splendid effort at covers helped MI save the boundary. Shikhar Dhawan clips the full-toss near square-leg for a single on the last ball.

7:47 PM IST - Ajinkya Rahane who's playing his first IPL game this year gets going with a couple of boundaries in the James Pattinson over. A square drive followed by another one towards cover. Boult who came back for his second over again bowled a tight over. On his fifth delivery which was a bit wide outside off, Rahane managed to get bat on it as the ball went above the wicketkeeper for a boundary.

7:35 PM IST - Trent Boult with the new ball against his former team. The left-arm pacer has been the highest wicket-taker during the powerplay overs in Dream11 IPL 2020. Prithvi Shaw finds the edge and gets a boundary past second slip to get off the mark. However, he ends up playing the next ball straight to Krunal Pandya at cover. Boult never fails to give MI a good start. Seven runs from the first over.

7:04 PM IST - Rohit Sharma: "End of the day, you have to come out and play good cricket. Toss shouldn't be a factor. We will back ourselves to chase the target. We need to first restrict them. The guys are putting their hands up whenever required so we want to continue with the same team. Playing 150 matches for MI is a good landmark to have. It has been a great franchise and we've had some success."

7:00 PM IST - Shreyas Iyer wins the toss. Mumbai Indians will be bowling first.

6:55 PM IST - MILESTONE ALERT: Rohit Sharma all set to become the second MI cricketer to represent them in 150 IPL games.
