A destructive double century by Aayush Makwana (240 off 110) grabbed the spotlight in the fourth edition of MI Junior in Mumbai on Friday.

Having found a partner in Kshitij Pal (197* off 103), Aayush led Swami Vivekanand International School, Kandivali to a whopping 593/2 in 40 overs. Yatharth Yadav (5-24) then starred with the ball for SVIS, to bowl out Rizvi Springfield High School, CBSE, Khar Danda for 91.

Swami Vivekanand, Borivali were also victorious in the same category against Balmohan Vidyamandir English Medium, Dadar, thanks to stellar tons by Devansh Trivedi (168* off 106) and Hrishikesh Naik (106 off 70). Chasing a mammoth total of 469, Balmohan Vidyamandir were skittled out for just 77 runs.

In the Girls’ Under-15 category, Abigail Naik shone for St. Mary's High School, Mulund with an unbeaten 84* which helped sink Ryan International School, Nerul by 59 runs.

Riding on Abigail’s knock, St. Mary notched a total of 188, before bundling out Ryan International for 129.
