Shivratna Suryavanshi slams triple ton in MI Junior; Tanish Shetty smashes double ton

Shivratna Suryavanshi slammed a spectacular triple ton (334 off 144) to give Sinhgad City School a resounding 531-run victory over Symbiosis School in an MI Junior Boys’ Under-16 league game in Pune.

Riding on Shivratna’s stroke-filled knock, Singhad City School notched up a gigantic total of 570/6 in 40 overs. Sairaj Shelar finished the job for Sinhgad City School, taking 5 for 19 to help bowl Symbiosis School out for 39 runs.

Meanwhile, in the Boys’ Under-14 category, Kalyani School’s Rajveer Undre took a stunning haul of 5 for 6 to seal a 106-run win against Blue Ridge Public School.

Batting first, Kalyani School were skittled out for 144 runs. Ayush Gosavi scored an unbeaten 81* to guide them to a fighting total. Rajveer then joined in the act to bundle out Blue Ridge Public School for 38.

In the Mumbai leg of games, Tanish Shetty’s explosive double ton (244 off 111) guided Lakshadham High School, Goregaon to a mammoth 587/2 in 37 overs in a Boys’ Under-16 league match against Shishuvan School, Matunga. Tirth Vanarase (106 off 65) and Sourish Deshpande (98* off 42) were the other significant contributors for Lakshadham High.

In response, Shishuvan School could only manage 53 runs, with Karan Chokhani (4-11) doing the bulk of the damage.

In another game in the same category, off-spinner Yug M weaved his magic to take a stellar seven-wicket haul (7 for 27) for Vishwa Gurukul High School against SM Shetty High School, Powai.

Vishwa Gurukul then chased down the paltry target of 59 runs in just 5.2 overs

Powerhouse Al-Barkat Malik Muhammad Islam English School, Kurla began their MI Junior campaign with a bang, defeating The National Kannada Education Society, Wadala by a whopping 608 runs in the Boys’ Under-16 category.

Varad Magar (122 off 77) and Prithvi Bhalerao (119 off 50) played sensational knocks to take the Al-Barkat total to 646/3 in 31 overs. Wali Mohmmed Ahmed Sayed (2 for 7) and Daksh Chaurasiya (2 for 13) shone with the ball to restrict the National Kannada Education Society total to just 38 runs.

Elsewhere, in the Boys’ Under-14 category in Mumbai, Afzal (166 off 94) stole the show with a blazing century for Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English School, CSMT against Navbharat English Medium High School, Bhiwandi.

Anjuman-I-Islam racked up a massive total of 404/6 in 40 overs thanks to Afzal’s ton. Adarsh Rajbhar then ran through the Navbharat English batting with a stunning 7 for 11, bowling them out for a measly 22 runs.
