MI rope in Beuran Hendricks for injured Alzarri Joseph

By Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians have reached out to 28-year-old South African left-arm pacer, Beuran Hendricks to replace an injured Alzarri Joseph. The Cape Town-born bowler made his ODI debut earlier this year but got his T20I cap way back in 2014. He was a part of the 2014 T20 World Cup where he bagged 4 wickets in 3 games.

Alzarri Joseph picked up an injury when Mumbai Indians faced Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede. This was not before announcing himself to the

IPL when he broke a 12-year old record for the best bowling figures in IPL history on his debut against the Sunrisers.

The Antiguan himself was called in as a replacement when Kiwi quick Adam Milne couldn’t be part of the side. Alzarri Joseph played 3 matches in the MI Blue and Gold colours taking 6 wickets.

Beuran is known for his quick speeds and the ability to swing the ball. He operates with the new white object and is vital at the death overs as well. The T20 specialist is not new to the Indian Premier League. He was brought by Kings XI Punjab in the 2014 IPL season.
