Paltan pro tips for a hassle-free Wankhede match day experience

By Mumbai Indians

The Wankhede is decked up. The Paltan is ready. So here’s your pro guide as you head over to Churchgate. The dos, the don’ts, the maybes, the definitely don’ts.

I booked my ticket online. Do I still need a physical ticket?

Yes, you do. If you haven’t collected or received your ticket yet, you could get them from the Box Office at Gate 10, CCI-Brabourne Stadium, Veer Nariman Rd, Churchgate, Mumbai – 400020

How do I travel to the stadium?

Well, you’d do well to avoid bringing your own vehicle. Take the local transport. The closest train station is Churhcgate on the Western Line, and the closest bus stop is Marine Drive.

Can we leave the stadium mid-match and re-enter?

Nope, that’s not allowed. Once you’re in, you’re in. Once you’re out, you’re out. Quite like cricket.

What do I wear?

Something Blue of course. Even better if it happens to be the MI jersey. Remember, we are in Mumbai, and it is April. You’d rather keep it light and casual.

What’s my gate number?

It’s written on your ticket. Check the map and the stadium layout (again, on your ticket), and head right there.

What’s my seat number?

On your ticket, again.

What time do the gates open?

Three hours before the game. Come early, beat the queue, beat the traffic, and enjoying watching the team warming up, and warming you up for the action.

What’s not allowed then?

Power Banks, Cigarette Lighters, Selfie Sticks, Wooden Sticks, Backpacks, Bottles, Cameras, Umbrellas, Food, Inflammable Substances, Helmets, Coins, Pets, Weapons, Cigarettes, Sharp Objects, Binoculars, Drones. Don’t bring any of these and you’re good.

Are phones allowed?

Of course they are. And so are taking unlimited selfies showing your love for MI.
