
MI Junior Day 3: U14 boy Yash Chaude becomes first Nagpur cricketer to score 500 runs in single innings
In a record-shattering innings, Nagpur boy Yash Chaude scored a whopping 508 not out in 178 balls in an Nagpur leg match of the MI Junior Boys U14 match on Friday, joining the Mumbai boys Prithvi Shaw and Pranav Dhanawade in achieving this incredible feat.
It's for the first time in the Nagpur school cricket circuit that a player has scored more than 500 runs in a single innings. Even more impressive is the fact that Yash's magnificent innings came in a 40-over game, whereas Prithvi and Pranav’s knocks were in multi-day cricket.
Riding on Yash's brilliant knock, Saraswati Vidyalaya High School scored a mammoth 714 runs in 40 overs. In response, Siddheshwar Vidyalaya were bowled out for just 9 runs, with Ankit Gedekar (6-6) being the chief destroyer.
On the other hand, Lavanya Pujari's stunning double century (232* off 161) helped Somalwar High School amass a total of 355 in 40 overs in another Boy's U-14 match. Shahu Garden High School were then bundled out for just 44 runs, thanks to a 7-wicket haul by Deven Chalkhore.
In another U-14 match, Ekansh Lute’s all-round brilliance (131 and 4-12) powered Delhi Public School Lava to a thumping 217-run victory against School Of Scholars (Atrey Layout). School Of Scholars were restricted to a paltry 60 runs, while chasing DPS Lava’s target of 278.
Meanwhile, Siddheshwar Vidyalaya, Manewada Road bowled out Centre Point School, Katol Road for just 54 runs courtesy superb bowling performance by Rashi Chaurasiya (3-9) and Samiksha Shivankar (2-25) in a low-scoring Girls' U-15 match. Siddheshwar Vidyalaya chased down the target without losing any wicket.
In another match of the same category, The Royal Gondwana Public School, Wardha Road suffered a 10-wicket loss against Providence Girls High School after getting bowled out for just 44 runs. Shraddha Binkar (5-3) and Shreya Chaudhary 19 not out were the top performances for The Royal Gondwana team.
Narayana Vidyalam, Koradi thrashed Saint Sai Convent High School And Junior College, Sarvashree Nagar by 10 wickets after bowling them out for just 23 runs, courtesy brilliant performance by Anmol Pande (5-2) and Arjun Mishra (4-11) in an Boy's U-14 match.
In another Boy's U-14 match, Smit Hatwade's (4-13) guided Aspire International School, Wardha Road to 9-wicket win over The South Public School, Omkar Nagar after bowling them out for 66 runs.
Riding on Aryan Singh 6-36, Aspire International School, Wardha Road bowled out Swaminarayan School, East Wardhman Nagar for 118 runs and then chased down the target without losing any wicket as Vivek Yadav played an unbeaten knock of 85 not out in a Boy's U-14 match.
Another match of the same category saw MKH Sancheti Public School, Samarth Nagar East suffer a 10-wicket loss against Centre Point School, Dabha. Adhyan Rauthan ( 98*) and Aditya Bhargava (3-43)were the top-performers for Centre Point School.
Elsewhere, Rohan Bhute (151*) led Bhavans BP Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar to an impressive 205 run win over Samarth Nagar East in a Boy's U-16 match report. Apart from Rohan, Adwait Agasti (6-29) and Sherwin Jattewar (4-12) were the other main contributors for Bhavans BP Vidya Mandir.
In another match of the same category, Bhavans BP Vidya Mandir, Ashti beat Gayatri High School, Manewada Road by 15 runs. Aryan Kadu (32) , Saksham Upadhya (3-22), Sarthak Umre (3-33), Aryan Kadu 3-36) were main performers for Bhavans BP Vidya Mandir.
On the other hand, Narayana Vidyalayam, Wardha Road beat Centre Point School, Wardhman Nagar by 210 runs in a Boy's U-16 match, riding on fifties from Ayush Kumar (65), Shivam Joshi (52) and Anway Lade (51 not out).
In a Boy's U-14 match, Centre Point School, Wardhman Road beat Lalitha Public School, Wathoda Ring Road by 173 runs courtesy Dhairya Aya's superb 88.
