Ten tests in four months! Rohit and Boom all set to kickstart home season

By Mumbai Indians

The wait for the red-ball battle is over! Team India is ready to face Bangladesh at home. Are you ready, Paltan? Rohit Sharma will lead the Men in Blue in the two-Test series starting at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on September 19.

The Hitman will also be at the forefront of the mighty Indian batting line-up that will also see the return of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Yashasvi Jaiswal who was in red-hot form in the England series with more than 700 runs in five Tests will partner RO up front.

Meanwhile, Boom Boom will be looking for yet another exceptional series at home after tormenting the English batters with his pace, reverse swing and variations. Boom Boom will lead the pace attack as left-arm pacer Yash Dayal gets his maiden call-up to the Test side.

The experienced pair of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja will join hands once again in the spin front with Rishabh Pant also back in the longest format to entertain all Indian fans with his dazzling strokeplay once again.

With a place in the World Test Championship 2025 final up for grabs, Team India will do well to maximise its home advantage and get full points on offer. Meanwhile, Bangladesh is coming to India after their historic Test series win at Pakistan, and will be high on confidence. They haven’t won a Test match against India yet, and that’s what makes for a thrilling couple of weeks ahead.
