Goodbyes are never easy. More so when you’ve created such amazing memories and built a team of champions. Two titles in three years, a team that has produced a host of superstars, a team of Champions, a team Mumbai is proud of. Charlotte Edwards wears a hat with many feathers, but for the Paltan, the two in Blue and Gold shine the brightest.

"Every player, we just want them to be fearless, and obviously, most of all, have lots of fun,” was her mantra at the start of the season. Through wins, losses, nerve-wracking moments, one thing was a constant – her smile. And it was infectious. She made sure the ‘fun’ never went missing. 

“I'm truly proud of the energy and the performances the girls put in on the big stage” was how she signed off on the night of the WPL 2025 Final after Mumbai Indians lifted yet-another trophy.

It, sadly, for now, is the end of an era. As she moves on to become the Head Coach of the England Women’s side, we express our gratitude for a historic WPL cycle, for bringing out the MI winning mentality, for inspiring an entire generation of girls, for everything.
