Dear Ricky,

It was an honour and a privilege to see you, first as a player, then as a captain who always put the team’s interests first and finally as a Coach who led with quiet determination.

You’ll be remembered by our passionate Paltan, for your quest for perfection, work ethic, selflessness and your total devotion to the team’s cause. Achieving the difficult and often the ‘impossible’ became the mantra under your leadership. For that we are eternally grateful.

You’ve always had a sharp eye for the cricket ball and identifying talent in individuals was no different. MI’s young contingent had the benefit of playing with and under your leadership which helped some players transform themselves into world-class cricketers. And that will be your lasting legacy within the MI family.

From the entire Mumbai Indians family, we’d like to say thank you and wish you the best for your future. And remember no matter where you are and what you do in the future, you can always consider Mumbai Indians your home away from home.
