With a height of 5 ft 11 inches and a wiry frame, Jhye Richardon, at face value, is rather unlike most “normal” fast bowlers. Do not make that mistake, for with his quick, zippy action, he clocks over 140ks with ease, swinging the ball both ways in the process.
His first standout impression in 20-overs cricket came in the 2016-17 Big Bash League where he picked 11 wickets, including a 3/30 in the final to win Perth Scorchers the title. In the 2023 BBL season, he’s snapped his career-best figures, ripping through Sydney Sixers’ batting setup to claim 4/9 on his return from a heel injury.
His IPL debut came in the 2021 season for the Kings XI Punjab, and we can’t wait to see him light up the season in the iconic Blue and Gold in 2023.
