An Andre Russell fan, Ramandeep Singh, much like the big man, is an explosive lower middle-order batter, and a wily medium pacer. His first claim to fame came during the 2021-22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he smashed a 23-ball 54 against Odisha ahead of the 2022 mega IPL Auction.
The 25-year-old came into his own towards the end of the league stage in the IPL season, picking up 3/20 against SRH and 2/29 against DC in MI’s last two games. He took that confidence into both white-ball formats in the 2022-23 domestic season for Punjab, picking up a hat-trick and a fifer against Baroda in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
