The mystery spinner is just getting started and 2024, without a doubt, proved to be a breakthrough year for the Afghanistan cricketer.
To begin with, Ghazanfar featured in the Under-19 T20 World Cup that year, where he bagged eight wickets in four matches at a commendable economy of 3.35. Moreover, he guided Afghanistan A to their maiden ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup title, winning the Player of the Match award in the final against Sri Lanka A.
With such an impressive resume already, our rising star was set to feature in IPL 2025, before an unfortunate injury ruled him out for the season. He came to the party in 2026, bamboozling batters and ending up with 15 wickets in 11 games.
