An evening at Wankhede! Bumrah, Boult, and DEEPAK CHAHAR!

By Mumbai Indians

It only keeps getting better. We already had Bumrah, we got Boult to make it even more formidable, and now we’ve officially made it deadly.

As if the left-arm swing wasn’t enough to terrorise batters on a Mumbai evening, we’ve now snapped a genuine right-arm equivalent with the new ball. Rahul Chahar enjoyed some of his best years in the Blue and Gold. Paltan, let’s extend this hospitality to the older member of the Chahar household, shall we?

“Mumbai Indians is a great franchise and the conditions of Mumbai suits my bowling. Whenever I’ve played there, I’ve done well,” the older Chahar said shortly after being picked up in a chat with the host broadcasters.

Over the last two days, we kept going in and out of many bidding wars for fat bowlers, but on this one, we refused to stop. We raised the first padel at INR 2.00 crore, fought the Punjab Kings, who went up till INR 7.50 crore, only for CSK to jump in at INR 8.00 crore and raise another three bids. We weren’t backing out here. At INR 9.25 crore, we stood firm, and brought in arguably the most-gifted wrists in India.

Welcome to Mumbai Indians, Deepak Chahar! 7.30 pm at the Wankhede through April and May promises to be a treat. The ball simply won’t stop swinging.
