MIvSRH: Ekach Vada, Surya Dada!! Stunning century to seal MI win - As it happened

It's been a special evening, lit up by a bunch of special players. Now, the MUM-Boys will now take some time to reflect on this win and go into the penultimate fixture of the IPL 2024 campaign aiming to play with the same vigour and intent. Paltan, your electric love and support was the secret elixir to Aapla Dada Surya and Tilak Varma leading the run chase, and the duo of Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla laying the seeds of victory early on with the ball. The 'S' in Surya eternally stands for SPECIAL

11:12 PM: Here it comes, century#2 for Suryakumar Yadav in the IPL. And what a time to reach the landmark - against the free-scoring Sunrisers Hyderadad, at the Wankhede Stadium, getting the team to rise from 31/3 to 174/3 in 17.2 overs. The victory was important, helping us end a run of four consecutive defeats. What a knock, what a player!! 

11:10 PM: Aapla Dada is now 10 runs away from a Supla Century! What a player, what an impact. 

10:56 PM: India's Mr. 360 is on a rampage. 75 runs from 42 balls and putting Mumbai Indians just 36 runs away from victory. It's coming, Paltan! It's coming.

10:40 PM: 100 crossed! 71 more to go. And it is a fight on from Suryakumar Yadav - who is racing towards his fourth half-century of IPL 2024. The score? 103/3.

10:10 PM: At the end of the powerplay, MI are 52/3. Aapla Dada Surya and TV are now at the crease and have been handed the license to go on a rampage. Paltan, are you ready for a spectacular show of cricket in the middle overs?

10:02 PM: Just as SKY came out to bat and looked to build on a partnership with Naman Dhir, the latter would lose his wicket to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

9:58 PM: This one hurts. Rohit Sharma gets dismissed by SRH skipper Pat Cummins. Cummins' delivery forces Rohit to flick high in he air behinds square, but wicket-keeper Klaasen ran behind to take the catch.

9:48 PM: Ishan departs for 9. Marco Jensen's angling full and straight delivery onto the middle stump took a leading edge of an astonished Ishan Kishan's bat and went behind to Mayank Agarwal at first slip.

9:45 PM: 'ISH a HIT start for MI, as Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan get off the mark by tallying 13 runs from the opening over. Let's build on from this.

9:25 PM: Target locked: 174. The MI Boys did well to restrict the free-scoring Sunrisers Hyderabad to 173/8 thanks to the triple-attack from Hardik Pandya (3/31) and Piyush Chawla (3/33). In addition, BOOM BOOM (1/23) and debutant Anshul Kamboj (1/42) also chipped in to put the Blue and Gold in the driver's seat at the moment. Now, on to our star batters to come and shine!

MI bowlers keeping the Paltan entertained!

9:06 PM: Like Hardik, PC ends his spell with a three-wicket haul. His final ball of his spell saw him trap Abdul Samad for an LBW.

8:59 PM: Two wickets in one over - Captain HP is ruling the pitch at the moment. After dismissing Shahbaz Ahmed on the first ball of his final over, he would get rid of Marco Jansen with a classy length ball that rattles the stumps.  

8:37 PM: Now that is a KLASS-y way to get a wicket, Piyush! PC went all in to deny Heinrich Klaasen from going big, with his 91.9kph delivery taking an inside edge and getting him bowled out.

8:31 PM: After taking his maiden wicket, Anshul Kamboj repays the faith in him from skipper Hardik Pandya by aiding the latter's dismissal of Nitish Kumar Reddy (20).

8:28 PM: Need a special wicket? Dial Piyush Chawla. The experienced spinner tricks the dangerous Travis Head to go for a slog sweep. But, it fell short and was delivered into the hands of Tilak Varma. 

8:14 PM: Third time is a charm! Anshul Kamboj went close twice to taking his first IPL wicket - one ruled out by a no-ball and one a dropped catch. But the debutant kept his faith in the word "B.E.L.I.E.V.E" and he got rewarded. Mayank Agarwal tried to smash Anshul's length ball over leg side but his mistimed effort led the ball to crash into his stumps.

8:02 PM: Breakthrough BUMRAH! He has arrived. It was coming and the experienced MI star opens the floodgates for MI. BOOM BOOM's length ball took an outside edge off Abhishek Sharma and went straight to Ishan Kishan, who lept to his left to claim his 50th catch as an outfield player in the IPL. 

7:45 PM: Nuwan Thushara and Anshul Kamboj have taken charge of the bowling in the initial overs of the powerplay, and have come pretty close to dismissing the SRH openers. Paltan! keep praying. A wicket is coming.
