"No better middle-order player than SKY for India": Harbhajan Singh

By Mumbai Indians

Just MI Family love. Harbhajan Singh, a legend to have worn the Blue and Gold for ten years, has thrown his weight wholely behind Aapla Surya dada in the World Cup squad.

"I feel Suryakumar Yadav is a complete, complete player," Bhajji said in a chat with Star Sports, the host broadcasters for the Asia Cup.

It's fair to say that in the last two years, SKY has fully redefined T20 batting. With his funky 360-degree batting, and accelerating to unworldly levels, he's been the trendsetter.

Because batting there (in the middle-order) is the toughest," Harbhajan said. "Opening in [one-dayers], you know where to score runs. You have a lot of time. But when you go in to bat after 20-25 overs, you need the game to know where you can find gaps to get boundaries and I don't think anyone in the Indian team can do that better than Suryakumar."

"And if it was up to me, I would play him in the team. Because when he is in the team, it increases the pressure on the opposition. Whether he fires or not. Because till the time he is at the crease, there will be pressure because on any day he can play a match-winning innings. He can hit 50-60 runs in 20 balls."

"So you have to play a player like this. You can't waste him by keeping him out."

How's that for a shot of confidence, Paltan! True, SKY's ODI numbers aren't quite there yet, but with the World Cup and with
the big match player that he is, it's just a matter of time before it hits the stratosphere. Let's catch up in two months ..
