Still Practicing, Still Learning – Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah, he has been the answer to India’s death bowling woes. His accurate yorkers, good pace and slower ones have been thrilling. In India’s first game of their tour to Zimbabwe, Bumrah again proved his worth finishing with 4 wickets at the end of the innings. According to Bumrah, yorkers were among the toughest deliveries to master. “It’s a very difficult ball. I haven’t yet mastered it. Nobody can master it. I just try to have a clear plan when I bowl in the death overs.”
The easy going pacer is comfortable with any role he gets on the field. “I am okay with any role given to me by the team. I have bowled with a new ball and also with a first-change ball. I am happy as far as I am contributing to the team.”
After playing intense T20 for 2 long months, our young lad has returned to ODI with a bang. “I have been playing a lot of T20 in the recent past. This was my first ODI after a long time and I was just focusing on bowling the right line and length. The balled seemed a bit and the wicket was helpful.”
Jasprit Bumrah also congratulates KL Rahul on his 1st ODI 100. “We know he takes two runs and then hits a 6 he will be able to make a 100. And he did it, and I am very happy for him. It was his debut match and he scored 100 runs.”
It is obviously too early for any verdict on the pacer but he is certainly aware of that. “So with practice, you can develop everything. So I am still practicing, still learning. Hopefully, in the further matches, I will be able to bowl better.”
