First innings: Samson, Dube’s timely outburst takes India to 167
India, batting first, were given an early scare as they were reduced to 44/3 in the powerplay. But, the committed efforts of Sanju Samson (58 off 45) and Shivam Dube (12-ball 26) catapulted India to 167/6 in their 20 overs. Riyan Parag also chipped in with a patient 22 off 24 balls.
Second innings: Mukesh Kumar brings out career-best to dismantle ZIM batting
Zimbabwe stepped out to chase 168, but they got off on the wrong foot, and Mukesh Kumar took the offer. The pacer registered a career-best 4/22 to help India fold the hosts’ innings to 125 in 18.3 overs.
