IES Secondary School (Mulund), JV Parekh International School (Ville Parle), St. Mary’s High School SSC (Mazgaon), and others registered victories in their respective Boy's U-16 matches of the ongoing MI Junior Inter-school cricket tournament on Tuesday.

A sterling century (131 off 82) by Deven Shinde powered IES Secondary School (Mulund) to a commanding total of 311 against St. Anne’s Convent School in an MI Junior Boys U-16 League match on Tuesday.

In response, St. Anne’s could only manage to score 61 runs, giving IES Secondary a big win of 250 runs. Aditya Khollam was the chief destroyer, taking 4 for 23.

In another Boy's U-16 match, Prath Patel’s brilliant five-for (5-15) powered JV Parekh International School (Ville Parle) a comfortable 6-wicket victory against Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidyalaya (Vikhroli).

The Vikhroli outfit capitulated to Patel’s brilliant fast bowling and was bowled out for a meagre 60 runs. JV Parekh chased down the target in just 8.3 overs, with 6 wickets in hand.

Riding on vital contributions from Yash Sawant (86), Advait Rahate (44), and Anish Shetty ( 36), St. Mary’s High School SSC (Mazgaon) beat Ryan International School (Nerul) by 176 runs in the Boy's U-16 match. Chasing a total of 272 runs, the Ryan International team was bowled out for 95 runs.

Elsewhere, Mukesh Yadav's 4 for 27 went in vain as Anjuman-I-Islam English School (Vashi) lost to Kanchan High School (Nalasopara) by 5 runs as they were bowled out for 139 while chasing a total of 145 runs in another match of the same category.

In a low-scoring match, R.R. Education Trust (Mulund) beat Ryan International School (Nalasopara) by just three runs. Bhavik Desai with his 4-12 impressed for Ryan School but he didn't get enough support from the batters of his team as the team was bowled out for 31 while chasing a paltry total of 35 runs.
